Polish Erasmus+ group shared their impressions about the final meeting in Ibiza. Sucha Beskidzka students and teachers watched photos and presentations, listened to mobility stories, shared acquired knowledge. In addition, teachers compared educational systems and shared ideas for interesting lessons.
Between the 13th – 19th May a group of Sucha Beskidzka students and teachers attended the final Erasmus+ meeting in Ibiza, hosted by the coordinating school from Sant Agusti des Vedra.
We started our Erasmus+ Ibiza adventure on Sunday morning.
Having arrived to Krakow, we got on a plane to Munich. The journey was quick and cheerful. For Kuba and Karol it was their first flight by plane! Although we had to wait 7 hours for a flight to Ibiza at the Munich airport, we had a great time. Kuba, Karol and Kuba walked around the airport looking for souvenirs and the group from Hungary. The remaining travellers stayed in a restaurant with cups full of coffee and hot chocolate. We could not wait to see the beautiful island! After landing in Ibiza, we went to pick up the luggage and headed towards our friends from Spain. Continue reading
During LTT5 in Ibiza, School Radio Waves was disseminated among different mass media.
On the one hand, the project appeared in the local newspaper (Periódico de Ibiza y Formentera).
On the other hand, as an activity within this last mobility, we visited the local radio station (Cadena Ser), where participants (teachers and students) were interviewed live about School Radio Waves.
However, diffusion did not finish here. Not only did School Radio Waves appear in the local press and radio, but it also appeared in two different TV channels, the local TV (TEF) and the regional one (IB3), too!!
In April, Erasmus+ Group, together with other Sucha Beskidzka students, went on two interesting field trips, which gave them a chance to increase their knowledge about the radio and the sound. The trips were an important part of the School Radio Waves, as they disseminated both the project and Erasmus+ programme at a national level. In addition, they contributed to the project’s sustainability due to the fact that also younger students, who will work with the school radio in the future, were the trip’s participants. IES Sant Agustí received a group of Erasmus+ students and teachers from a different Erasmus+ project of a nearby secondary school (IES Algarb). They visited us in order to show us their own project about “Cities”, and our School Radio Waves students gave them a tour around the school. All was obviously done in English 🙂 Continue reading
Before the visit to Ibiza, Sucha Beskidzka students attended two kinds of work hops.
In March, our school was visited by Andrzej „Czoper” Czop, the main acoustician at Małopolska Garden of Art, Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Cracow, and the sound engineer of Max Klezmer Band and KTO Theatre. Erasmus+ Group and other students and teachers listened to an interesting lecture entitled „How to Subjugate the Sound”, admired and used different microphones and were taught how to use the radio system and deal with the sound processing equipment.
Then, we had an opportunity to take part in Spanish dance classes, which were conducted by Alexis, a Latin radio broadcaster who had lived in Spain for many years. Thanks to these classes, we not only grasped elements of Spanish culture but also disseminated the project worldwide, as we were greeted while live Latin radio audition.
